Red and White Challenge

This is the last post about the Waverley Patchworkers Quilt Show 2014. As well as all the beautiful quilts on display we also had a challenge. The challenge was Red and White with a Touch of Black. They were to measure 9" x 12" and could hang vertically or horizontally.

We had 69 entries which is a huge number for a challenge and all them were wonderful.

This is what greeted all the visitors when they arrived at the show.

Here is a close up of a few of them, because it was a challenge and viewers had to vote for their favourites the quilts weren't named so I can't tell you made them.

I did a challenge quilt as well and of course mine was a crazy quilt.

We had the hall decorated in red and white and we even had red and white cup cakes. They were delicious and I must admit that I had more than one. These were made by Helen a Waverley member who is obviously a good cook as well as a beautiful embroiderer.

The Waverley Art Quilters also had a small display of their work. We could only show four of our topics but they looked wonderful and were admired by many people.

The Waverley Patchworkers Quilt Show is on every two years so the next one will be 2016. A scary thought because they come around so quickly.

Bye for now,
Linda

Thanks Jude,
I was so thrilled because I know how busy people are these days.
